Christians hate these clothes

This clothing has become hated by Christians around the world. For some, just the thought that these clothes were in their closets and on their bodies, is repulsive.  This brand of clothing has come to represent wickedness and evil that plagues humanity.

Because of willful ignorance, this brand gained popularity. Many who knew of it’s danger stayed quiet as to not be accused of legalism or being “holier than thou” by pointing out this brand’s track record. Others, knew full well of this brand’s track record and the dangers, and willfully stayed quiet as to not bring public opinion against them, for speaking out. Many times, we can see, those in power, protect others in power, at the peril of the common people.

And so, many christians stayed in ignorance as to the dangers of this clothing line particularly, and have suffered great loss, consequently.

What clothing is this, you ask?

It is the garment spotted by the flesh, as described by Jude, in Jude 23;

And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

This garment, spotted by the flesh, was once deplorable to true Christ followers. The Bible tells us of those in Heaven, who has been clothed in white; even purity! They have washed their “robes” in the Blood of the Lamb.

A Christian wearing a garment spotted by the flesh, is like a guy that rolls out of bed, and looks in his drawer for a clean shirt for the day. He picks a clean shirt up out of the drawer, but as he unfolds it to slip it over his head, he sees his old worn in and worn out shirt in the corner of the room, which is unwashed, and has been thrown aside, with intent of throwing it away. That old shirt represents the hurt, pain, sin and rebellion of the sinful life. It symbolizes the time of rebellion against God and His Ways. That old shirt represents the time of ignoring the Christ of God; Jesus, the Only Begotten of the Father.

Instead of putting on that clean shirt, the new life in Christ, putting on Christ, putting on a new life, the pull of that old shirt and it’s smells, draw the man to the corner to pick it up, slip it over his head, and now, a man that was once a New Creation in Christ, has put on an old stinky garment.  And all this was done by his own free will, not by the will of God or a forced hand, it was all his choice.

And so he may leave the house, now representing the old life, old friends may see him with his old shirt and remember old times, and believe him to be now ready to relive those old times. This is putting back on the garment, spotted by the flesh.

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; -Hebrews 2:3

Let us not neglect the Great Salvation we have available in Christ today, let us go on to Perfection! Let us follow after the Spirit today, and every day! Let us climb the mountain of the Lord, with clean hands and clean lips, hating, even HATING, the garment, spotted by the flesh!
